Herbert Euler offers more than 20-years’ in-depth experience in all areas of traditional PR work
in the airline and tourism industry. He also has wide-ranging expertise as regards strategic
and operational communi-
cations support and implementation. Other comprehensive skills
include setting up and expanding a press office, as well as in spear-heading a
communications team. These fundamental competencies were gained while working
for Lufthansa and TUI.
Herbert Euler, born 1953, did a business studies degree in the 1970s at the
University of Applied Sciences in Heilbronn, focusing on tourism management.
Afterwards he started his career in tourism marketing at the Irish Tourist
Board in Frankfurt.
In 1987, he changed to the airline industry and to corporate communications.
Herbert Euler set up communications departments for such renowned companies
as LSG Lufthansa Service, Condor, Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX) and TUIfly
and managed the operational side of the businesses.
Some of his focuses
included business PR, media management of product, brand and relevant
airline and tourism topics, drawing up concepts for internal media,
corporate publishing projects (in-flight magazines), events, as well as
communications support for executives and top management, particularly
where change processes were concerned.
Herbert Euler played an important role in setting up the airline low-cost
airline HLX and successfully organising the associated media work, as
well as the PR work for the later merger with Hapagfly to form today’s TUIfly.
In January 2011, Herbert Euler went freelance with his own communications
consultancy, specialising on the airline and tourism industry.
